We would like to present Percy. Hank and I are very proud to be Grand-Dogs. Percy pup joined the family this year. She lives with ProfessorDaughterPerson and JoePerson.
She is very good looking, of course since she’s our Grand-Pup. And very smart. She has already mastered many of the Rules of Dogs and Grand Pups. Like destroying squeaky chew toys. If it makes a noise, it must be shredded. That’s Rule number Five. ProfessorDaughterPerson reports that Percy is a Grand Master already.
She’s also mastered Rule number Four. She remains vigilant for squirrels, crows, and bunnies. As you can see in the photo of the sassy crow that decided to fly away after she gave it a good barking at. And the squirrels and bunnies are keeping away from Professor Daughter and Joe People’s vegetable garden. Bunnies are inherently evil because they eat carrots from gardens, and our DadPerson needs carrots to make our fresh food. Although Hank and I have been thinking maybe DadPerson could use fewer carrots and more chicken meat or deer poop. If the bunnies stand on Hank’s back, they can get to the raised garden Mom and DadPerson made in our backyard.
Rule number Three covers indoor responsibilities. In her house Percy is already in charge of maintaining the security of COUCH. COUCH is safe from all kinds of evil marauders.
Additionally Percy divides her time between COUCH and BLUE CHAIR, guarding both BLUE CHAIR and the CD bookshelves. Exhausting. She says there’s good music to bark by stored there.
Rule number Two concerns walking your People. Percy is excellent at neighborhood strolls and is brave and not a bit afraid of a rainy-day walk. Although Hank and I are concerned about her city-dog raincoat. A little too stylish?
Mine is plain yellow which is correct for us country dogs.
Rule number One is loving your People even if they make you do silly things like wearing a Halloween Costume. When ProfessorDaughterPerson brought out the Halloween Lion costume, Percy did the Lion face
and then showed ProfessorDaughter and Joe People how silly being a lion is. Note stuck out tongue.
ProfessorDaughter and Joe People love Percy and got her a cool skeleton costume instead. Sometimes you have to be very patient with your People.
