Strangers in a Strange Land and De Fluffing Day 46
2 September 2012
So today I begin day 46 of the De Fluffing. Big news. I hit my first goal this week- lost ten pounds. In fact as of today I’ve lost all tolled 11.5 pounds. YEOW!!! I’m one third of the way to my target, and (drum roll, please.) My large T shirts no longer get stuck at my hips.
Today The Prince Consort patted me on the back and announced, “You’ve lost the Michelin Man look.” This translates to I’ve carved off rolls of back-fat. Never let it be said TPC is Mr. Slick on the compliment front. I remember when we first dated in college. I wore a size 0 and was Sweetheart to another fraternity. His opening gambit to woo me was “You don’t sweat much for a fat girl.”
That’s when I fell for him. Quirky humor. We are a pair. We make each other laugh.
It’s okay that others find us strange. Like this steer on the new walking path. The steer stare says: The new path opens and all these strange huffing and puffing critters show up.
He may have thought we were stranger than the other walkers given the fuss we made over what we saw over the pastures.
Clearly we witnessed a tractor beam about to suck up a long-legged space creature.
Kath who is one lucky laughing woman.
