NO Wake, Idle Only

NikkiCat is not the first one up in the morning. Unlike previous cats who have owned us, NikkiCat waits for the humans to wake up. He does not stand on chests or breathe heavily into sleeping faces. Or tickle with long whiskers at O Dark Hundred in the morning.
I’m not saying NikkiCat is a slacker who not only mostly sleeps through the night, except for the random crunchy warm snack, but then naps hard for another sixteen plus hours. He is after all a CAT. And as such has a duty to make sure the bed is not stolen while the rabble. the human serfs, are off doing busy work. Which had better include filling his bowl, cleaning his litter box, and petting him if he opens an eye.
But this morning, Nikki Woke Up and was ready to go ‘OWT’. He saw the dawn beauty that I was staring at through the glass storm door. Or he was appreciating the venison snack on the horizon. Trust me, Nikki, objects appear smaller on the horizon than they are up close and personal.
And five minutes later he was back in bed.
At the lake I found this sign for the door to his bedroom. WAIT! His bedroom? ARGH!!!!
Kath who is not napping 23.5 hours a day, is down 23.5 pounds on her Defluffing, and HERE COMES THANKSGIVING!
