Rufus: Just Saying: Dawgs Work and Get No Pay!

This spring hail pounded holes in our roof, and we had to get a new one. The fancy new roof set MomPeople to thinking our house needed to be fancy like the roof. That meant a To Do List. I always help DadPeople with his To Do Lists. And now that Hank is my BrotherDawg, you’d think he would be a big help with that. Right?
Not so much. But I’ll explain later.
Here’s our front porch without the To Do List painting done.
First MomPeople wanted the sidelights at the door painted black like the door and the new gutters
Pretty good.
But then she wanted the columns and the other porch parts painted black to match … alot more work!
Hank tried to help, but he likes to be between DadPeople’s legs. Very dangerous. So I had to give up my squirrel monitoring and play with him, Hank, not DadPeople. MomPeople gave us a cake plate from the recycle bin. Even better than our regular toys!
Keeping Hank busy with the toy and wearing him out is hot work. He took a nap in the shade.
So of course I got a drink. If MomPeople asks, I Did Not drink out of the ‘waterfall’.
Then I checked in with DadPeople while Hank was napping.
We finished, and you know, it Is pretty fancy! I like it. Hank likes it because it’s black. He’s very partial to black. Wonder why?
So after all my hard work, I expected ten or a million cookies. Right? But no! One crummy cookie. 
So I ate the TV Remote. You would have too. Right?
